I recently had my young cousins for the day and Thought your readers might enjoy the activity we did. we went to a park by the lake and woods, and while we explored and played, we had a scavenger hunt. This was a wonderful way to teach the kids (6and3) about science and nature. They had so much fun finding things and playing in the woods, water and sand. They didn’t even realize we were learning. We made a short list of things to look for before we left, and as we walked we checked our list to things we might be able to find. Both Children enjoyed this adaptable activity.

I do love it Theresa! The best learning happens when kids are just focused on their play and exploration.
