I wanted to bring a new art resource to your attention that may be of interest. My book, Making Art Special – A Curriculum for Special Education Art, is filled with 50 illustrated art lessons as well as resources for designing your own. It is written with both the art teacher and parent in mind. For more info and lots of resources check out my facebook page, facebook.com/makingartspecial or my Pinterest page, http://pinterest.com/makingartspec/boards/ .

Kudos to you!

My four year old loves my iPad and I’m quite particular about what I install for him. It doesn’t have to be literacy and numeracy, just fun and creative. He loves an App called Art Maker by ABC’s Play School, by the Australian Broadcasting Corporation. It has a beautiful hand-made aesthetic and he can record his own voice and make a little movie has opened his world up to being a storyteller.

Does anyone have any recommendations for similar creative apps? Good quality content, no advertising or in app purchases that allow creative open ended play?

Thanks
