Busy Books
To make a busy book you will need the basic components to start with….

A 3-Ring Binder (Small or Large)

Plastic sleeves that will fit inside the 3-ring binder...

Velcro to attach items to the book and to keep items from sliding out of the plastic sleeves...
Other items will be added as you go along but these are the very basic supplies needed. You can make many kinds of busy books to share with your preschooler…
Busy Books can be used any time you need to keep a child positively occupied. Some examples of great times to pull out a busy book include…
- While traveling in a car or airplane
- While eating in a restaurant
- While sitting in a church service or other adult type gathering
And it is a great tool for children who don’t sleep to use as a quiet activity during nap time at preschool!

Such a wonderful idea. I will definitely try this one. Thanks so much for sharing.
How do you keep the velcro stick on the cayons? Did you use glue?
I didn’t at first but later realized that I needed to use either industrial strength velcro or add super glue to keep the velcro from pulling off the book.
