I LOVE Magneatos!!! I had a set in my last classroom and the children loved, loved, loved them. I made simple projects using the Magneatos, took photos of each, and placed them in a small photo album. The children would use the photos as guides to build the items and some would expand with their own creations!! I have since retired, but am working part time at a very small Christian Child Care Center which is struggling financially. A set of Magneatos would be a welcome addition to my 3-4 yr old PK classroom!!

I love everything about Guidecraft’s products. I would love to add these to my collection of things I bought from them. I do not have the Magneatos yet.

Thanks.

These are a lot of fun, I hope I win.

I loved so many of the Guidecraft products that it was hard to choose just one, but if I had to pick only one it would have to be the Sorting Food Tray wooden puzzles. They look so sturdy and would be fantastic for teaching proper nutrition to my kiddos. Childhood obesity is at record levels and if children learned to eat right when they are little it may carry them into adulthood with healthy strong bodies.

Always looking for new toys for my preschool classroom that provide imaginative, multi-sensory activities. Love the Magneatos and would definitely like to add a set for my kiddos. I am in the process of cleaning out my toy closet to prepare for the new school year. Some of the old toys need to be retired after many years of use so I would have room to add a few new items.
I also checked out the other items on the Guidecraft website–lots of toys available to teach spatial skills which look like tons of fun. May just have to get a set or two for my grandson too!

What is not to love??? How can you narrow it down to just one item? I feel like a kid at Christmas trying to get her christmas list widdled down … practically impossible. When closing my eyes and pointing I came up with the Magneatos … I think the multi-functionality of them would be enlightening to see how my class of 2 – 3′s explore with them.

So much fun looking at Guidecrafts website – I’m always finding things for my classroom wish list! The new storyboxes by Steven Light are just fantastic – but too pricey for me – they would eat up most of my budget!! But… these Magneatos look great for fine motor / learning center time – would love to have them!! Thanks for the opportunity to win!

Guildcraft has the best manipulatives. The shape puzzles make those little minds really think…..and they are so sturdy. I do not have Magneatos, but think it would be a great addition to our manipulatives…..Definitely on my wish list this year!

9 Carol August 3, 2012 at 8:44 am

Magnets—they are fascinating!! My prek students love exploring and experimenting! This set would be an awesome addition to my classroom. Thank you for the opportunity!

10 Jennifer August 3, 2012 at 8:46 am

Magneatos are great I have wanted to buy these for so long, but expensive. I have the shaped magnetics and my kids build amazing things with them. When children are given the oppurtunity, their imaginations run wild. I love to watch them create things. I hope I win these. It would make a great addition to my class.

I think the Magneatos are neat! I really love the block mates . What a great way to encourage imagination and add a new item to the block area. Thanks!

12 Debbie August 3, 2012 at 9:18 am

I love these Magneatos – science and construction all built into one. I am having a very boy heavy class this year and these would be perfect for them. Thanks for your great site!

13 Stacey August 3, 2012 at 9:27 am

These look SO COOL! I’m new to doing family daycare and love this website for all the ideas I get. My kids and daycare kids would love to play with these! (love the idea about starting an idea book with pics of these.) I’ll definitely be entering for the other give-aways too- FREE stuff is the BEST stuff!!! Hope I win!!

14 Ellen August 3, 2012 at 9:35 am

I agree with the other posters that Guidecraft has lots of wonderful products! One of the products I like was the primary puzzles — large pieces, bright colors. I also love the Magneatos. My preschoolers love building materials and these would be a great addition to our construction area.

15 Dava Donaho August 3, 2012 at 9:56 am

I LOVE that the Magneatos are for age 2 and up! It helps to have different construction sets for early learning and magnets are just SO cool! I also love the furniture from Guidecraft. The table and chair sets are just so perfect for the young child! I would love to win something fun…hope it is my lucky week!

16 Linda August 3, 2012 at 10:16 am

magnetos look amazing. great creativity w/out frustration of hooking/snapping pieces together

17 Betty Nations August 3, 2012 at 10:30 am

I am looking for more manipulatives for our 2-4 year olds in church daycare. I love the Magneatos but they also have some other fun sets like the Twisters…I think our 3 and 4 year olds would love these; but of course I would love, love, love to win the Magneatos!

18 Janet Ramelb August 3, 2012 at 12:24 pm

I just love the magnetos and use it in my classroom. You will be surprise on what creative designs the children come up with. I could use more since I just have the basic starter set.

19 Jennifer Kirschner August 3, 2012 at 1:25 pm

The Magneatos look so fun! I also love the Kiddie Rocker Chair Set. It would be so cute in a reading nook!

20 Tommie Sue Schindler August 3, 2012 at 1:36 pm

The kitchen Step Up looks like a wonderful — and safe — way to include children (or grandchildren) in cooking activities.

21 Diane Twesten August 3, 2012 at 3:17 pm

Added to my wish list for the classroom is the set of Interlox – they are similar to the waffle toys I have in our manips area, but the Interlox have the neat, clear colors and look like a lot of fun to build with. We have some magnets to play with, but they’re not nearly as cool as the magneatos!

22 Kimberly Rich August 3, 2012 at 3:21 pm

I love the Household Helpers stools. I have a two year old grandchild and a seven year old daughter who always wants to help me cook or wash dishes or whatever I may be doing in the kitche. This would be such a wonderful thing to have to keep them safe while helping…. Alot better than a diningroom chair.

23 Lisa Forbes August 3, 2012 at 5:13 pm

I absolutely love Guidecrafts products – from the dramatic play furniture to the Art Stations and Library Carts. I would love to win any of their furniture or toys. My fingers are crossed! Thank You!

24 Corena Lavender August 3, 2012 at 5:28 pm

I LOVE the Steve Light Storytelling Boxes and Sensory Stepping Stones from Guidecraft. I am also wanting to purchase the 3D Feel and Find for my 2-4th grade Special Needs Classroom!

25 Paula Peterson August 3, 2012 at 5:36 pm

Love it all but would like a few sets of the magneatos. Engineering, constructing, building, they love it!

26 Susan Barnes August 3, 2012 at 5:52 pm

I have a few magneatos that were donated to my preschool classroom, but a fully set would be wonderful. I really like the weight box set for guidecraft.

27 MommyPage August 3, 2012 at 6:55 pm

This is a great giveaway!! We would love the set of magneatos.

28 Pamela Spann August 3, 2012 at 6:56 pm

29 Kathleen Weaver August 3, 2012 at 7:41 pm

I love love the Magneatos……Jumbo Builders set. How my classroom could use some new manipulatives>

30 J Schoudt August 3, 2012 at 7:57 pm

I absolutly love to tell my students stories. I find nothing more magical than seeing a story through my students eyes, and that is why I love Steve Lights story boxes. I have always tried my best to have the story be interactive either while I was telling the story, or as a review technique after to enhance recall. The way that the video and example given on this website look like a wonderful way to excite the children with a hands on tactile way to enjoy a story. I think that the story boxes could also be used in many different ways as well, the more creative the teacher the more possibilities. I know the students in my school would greatly benifit from this very special toy.

31 Marisa Paine August 3, 2012 at 10:50 pm

I love all the white furniture — the Classic White Vanity, the Art Table & Chair Set – Pink, Jr. Rolltop Desk – White. I also love the Deluxe Art Center and Princess Mirror and the puppet theaters.

32 Jessica August 4, 2012 at 12:11 am

One of the teachers at our preschool has a set of mageatos and the kids love them…so much that they are passed around from class to class and my kids have never had a chance to play with them. I would love a set so we class can experience the hours of fun and creativity that these will bring. Like Deborah said they are a prefect size for all age groups, fun to use on the a table with the “oil drip pans” or build on the floor, they are very strong.

34 Lou Saunders August 4, 2012 at 4:52 am

I love the Story Telling boxes. I watched the video of Steve Light on youtube as well and he certainly made the story come alive because you could see the delight on the children’s faces! I’m glad I found your blog today as my daughter, who lives in the States and wishes to home-school her 3-year-old – is always on the lookout for great ideas.

Thanks for such a wonderful blog – I shall be a regular visitor!

35 Deanna Sandlie August 4, 2012 at 10:50 am

Absolutely love Magnetos and all the imaginative possibilities my preschool children could come up with in a short time. We learn through play and this is a great tool. I am in the process of revamping my classroom and would love to have these as a new addition. Thank You.

36 Kristine August 4, 2012 at 10:39 pm

I love the construct it-early builder toy! My son would love to play with them. I also love the mageatos! That toy would be a wonderful addition to his preschool toys. I never heard of the Guidecraft website! Thank you for all your posts!

37 Robyn L August 4, 2012 at 10:39 pm

38 Star Glover August 4, 2012 at 11:32 pm

I love the peek a boo lock blocks.

39 Sara August 6, 2012 at 2:06 pm

OH I would love to have the magnetos in my classroom! We really need to expand the choices in our block center!

40 Dea August 6, 2012 at 6:45 pm

I like all of these products very much! My childcare center is in Kosovo (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Republic_of_Kosovo) and it is very hard to get any educational toys over here, it needs to be imported and transport and customs fees make everything very expensive – therefore we improvise a lot. I follow you on Facebook and get many ideas for activities we do with children. Thank you!

Ps. I don’t think anyone has ever seen Magneatos here. In fact, there’s nowhere locally to buy foam sheets or even tissue paper for the crafts :(

41 Catherine August 6, 2012 at 7:06 pm

I absolutely adore the white storage bench with baskets. I have found that when students are comfortable, more reading practice is possible. Not only are students reading, but they are involved, applied reading strategies to help each other see more than just what the author and illustrator want to tell, but how the story applies or could apply within their environment.

I would love to have the Huppie Mama bench in my classroom and displayed in our reading library.

42 Danielle August 6, 2012 at 11:49 pm
