We have been talking about eggs this past week in my class so I thought I would combine a little counting and printing with this activity…

I set what I call “egg carton stampers” out on the table. My egg carton stampers are cleaned and washed egg cartons cut into 1, 2, 3, and 4 strips of egg carton cups. I cut two sets of each number of cups and stacked them together. In the bottom of each egg carton cup, I put a little paint…

Before painting with the egg carton stampers, we reviewed our numbers one through four and counted the number of cups in each egg stamper. Some of the children caught on to this concept and others just enjoyed the painting process…

Simple but fun…

Yay! Egg carton stamping is so much fun! We love it!
We do too!
I like the idea of putting the paint inside the other egg carton to paint with. I love all the ideas with egg cartons! As an art teacher I used egg cartons for paint holders and they could easily be closed and the paint would keep for a week! Sometimes I would add drops of water to the paint if I kept it longer than a week.
What was fun was that the children didn’t know there was paint inside until I showed them while we were doing our counting. They really thought that was cool!
Simple is my favorite. Love this!
I love simple too:)
