Black and white make gray for a cloudy day in preschool

The children have been exploring weather and today the focus today was on rain clouds…

The children made their own rain clouds by mixing together a little black and white paint on their paper…

The children used their hands to mix the paint colors…

As they blended the two colors, they began to see different shades of gray emerge…

Some of the children used both hands to mix the paint – others preferred to use only one hand…

I did not see this part but was told that after the paint was dry, the children were going to cut around the edges of their rain cloud then hang them up in the classroom…
