Making invitations for our Thanksgiving feast in preschool

The children are preparing for a thanksgiving feast at our school. They started by making these turkey hand print invitations. The parents are invited to come in and join the children for the big day…

We used fall colors to paint each child’s hand…

The palm of the hand is painted brown and the fingers are each a different color for the turkey feathers…

After the hand is painted, then the child makes a print on the card…

Once the hand print is on the card, the children can then make more hand prints on our group collage as desired or if they prefer, they can go wash up!

We have printed out the date and time on a separate sheet of paper for the children to cut and paste inside their card.  We hope we get lots of guest for our special feast!

Inside the card…

This is the back of one set of the invitations by one of our teachers…
