Teach Preschool presents a workshop in Dothan Alabama

I spent a wonderful two days in beautiful Dothan, Alabama this weekend. The weather was great, the people were amazing, and I had such a great time sharing and talking with the teachers at the workshop Hosted by the Family Guidance Center of Dothan, Alabama

The amazing facility for the conference was provided by the wonderful folks over at Wallace Community College. The faculty of Wallace College and the staff over at the Family Guidance Center all pitched in to help with setting up and running of the large demonstration tables which were located out in the main entry way…

We had tables all around the room set up with a variety of math, art, writing, sensory, DIY, and science activities for the teachers to check out and enjoy their own opportunity for some “hands on” exploration…

There was much to be done in preparation for the workshop and I want to give a big shout out of thanks to all the folks in Alabama who did such a great job organizing and hosting this special workshop…

I also want to thank the teachers for all their positive feedback and great participation during the workshop. I discovered we have some great dancers and singers over there in Dothan!

The next workshop I will be presenting is in March right here in Indiana and is sponsored by the Indianapolis Area Chapter of the Indiana AEYC!

Thanks again to all the folks in Dothan! I love my Alabama T-Shirt!

Every time I think I know everything I need to know about teaching young children, God says, "Hold on a minute!" and gives me a new challenge.

Let me tell ya...

With each new challenge that you overcome, you will find yourself better equipped and more passionate about teaching young children.

God didn't call wimps to lead, teach, or care for His children. Nope, he has high expectations, so get ready. You will have to give your very best but after teaching for over 30 years, I can tell you that it is a wonderful and rewarding journey.

Whenever your calling feels hard, just remember, 'He who began a good work in you (and in the children you serve) will be faithful to complete it.'
