Viewing our world through a colorful lens in preschool!

The children in this classroom have a very colorful view of their world!

This classroom has the luxury of four large windows down low at child’s eye view. I happened by the classroom the other day and noticed that the teacher placed see-through colored cellophane on the windows for the children to look through.

There is an orange view…

There is a yellow view…

There is a purple view…

And a red view…

I had to see for myself how the world looks through each of these colors…

The purple, red, and yellow were each amazing to look through.  The orange was a little more subtle…

What a fun and unique way to introduce children to colors and a great conversation sparker as they view their world through each of these colors.

Every time I think I know everything I need to know about teaching young children, God says, "Hold on a minute!" and gives me a new challenge.

Let me tell ya...

With each new challenge that you overcome, you will find yourself better equipped and more passionate about teaching young children.

God didn't call wimps to lead, teach, or care for His children. Nope, he has high expectations, so get ready. You will have to give your very best but after teaching for over 30 years, I can tell you that it is a wonderful and rewarding journey.

Whenever your calling feels hard, just remember, 'He who began a good work in you (and in the children you serve) will be faithful to complete it.'
