Gather up a roller pin, some bubble wrap, and bright colors of paint for this fun and colorful painting activity!
I noticed two different classes doing some roller pin painting today so I will show you both versions. Start by wrapping the bubble wrap around the rolling pin…
Tape it so it will stay in place. I noticed, after a little use, the bubble wrap starts to wiggle free!
In this class the children painted three different colors of paint on the wrapped rolling pin…
A little orange…
A little blue…
A little yellow…
Then the children rolled the painted rolling pin on a sheet of white paper…
You will notice that a few little construction paper fish were on the white paper. The children rolled over the fish too (the fish were used for another activity which I will post on another day).
The painted rolling pin left a colorful design on the paper! The fish were removed and set aside to dry…
In the classroom next door, the children used smaller rolling pins. This bubble wrap was starting to wiggle off the end after much use…
The children rolled the pins in paint first, then rolled the painted pins on their paper….
The rolling pins designed for the play dough center were wrapped with bubble wrap and dipped in blue, red, and green paint…
And these are the prints that were made!
I just love paint in preschool!!
