I hope my new students are just as excited to come to my classroom as my grandsons were today. I hope they want to explore, examine, and discover the things that I am in the process of preparing for them. But mostly, I hope that I will remember to tell my students all the good and positive things that I notice about what they are doing as we work together to learn about our classroom and build our community.
In the early childhood classroom, we can look at classroom management as a plan for what procedures our students will follow throughout each day as well as what the teacher’s role is in helping our students have a successful experience each day.

To give our students time to explore the process of mixing colors and a color wheel, we invited our students to explore water color mixing on a paper towel!
