in Discount School Supply Learning Easel, Give-Aways

There are so many wonderful ways to present ideas to young children but having a good teaching tool on hand can make the process so much more fun and engaging…

Multi-use easel give-away from Teach Preschool

The Multi-Use Learning Easel from Discount School Supply has many great features. On one side of the easel, the large white surface is magnetic and can be used as a dry erase board…

Multi-use easel give-away from Teach Preschool

On the other side of the easel, the surface is covered with a blue hook and loop panel which can be used as a large flannel board for felt stories, fingerplays, or games…

Multi-use easel give-away from Teach Preschool

And hanging from the top bar of the easel are three metal hoops which I used to hang my large pad of chart paper…

Multi-use easel give-away from Teach Preschool

Although the multi-use learning easel is large when opened up, it folds up nice and flat for easy storage in tight places like behind a shelf or in a closet when you need to tuck it away…

And as far as being sturdy, I can tell you that if for some unknown reason your students get a sudden urge to crawl under the easel, like mine did on this particular day, it will still manage to stand up and not tip over…

Multi-use easel give-away from Teach Preschool

And if your students like to work together like mine do, there is plenty of room all around the easel for everyone to join in…

There are so many great things at Discount School Supply and we use a lot of there products at our preschool. I went to their site and searched organization and tons on awesome things came up. I really like the neat bookshelves and I need some storage bins so I liked the easy label bins with lids.

I would love to have the toddler light up board for my classroom. While I teach 3 & 4 year olds there are many things that I could still do with this light board. I have many activities that I have received via email from your site and I have attempted to make my own light box and they have been flimsy at best. I would love to be able to convince my director to use some of the grant money on this. Even if we had to share it in the center, it would be worth it

5 Robin Baker June 30, 2013 at 7:26 am

I checked out the Discount School Supply site. Your posts have interested me in trying the Colorations Liquid Watercolor Paint, so I was happy to see that at such a reasonable price. I’ve enjoyed seeing the way your students are free to enjoy the process of creating without the pressure of ending up with a certain end product. Your respect for the way children learn is a wonderful example for early childhood educators.

6 veronica charles June 30, 2013 at 7:27 am

wow! I like this store you shared, neat. The deluxe dress up storage unit is what I LOVE !!!!!

7 Martha Garner June 30, 2013 at 7:28 am

9 Mary June 30, 2013 at 7:31 am

Discount School Supply is great for many items, but one of our favorites is the Angeles My Rider Tandem. Our preschoolers love to play “taxi” and give each other rides! It is easy to ride and appeals to our 3-5 year olds.

14 Kelly Douglas June 30, 2013 at 7:44 am

I always buy my classroom materials and supplies from Discount School Supply. Right now my favorite product on their site has to be their Colorations Colors Like Me multicultural paints. They also have paper, markers, and crayons. This is so important for young children to be able to choose the right color skin and hair and not have to choose from yellow, white, or peach. The price is perfect too! I usually buy one for my own preschool and one for my children’s teacher as well.

15 Jacey Norton June 30, 2013 at 7:48 am

25 jodi June 30, 2013 at 7:59 am

I have always liked DSS however like you it was more for their vast selection of art supplies. But, while visiting their website I discovered that they are introducing a new brand of product titled excellerations. While viewing their products I saw a cool set of very large plush stacking blocks, great idea and product for younger preschoolers. I also saw a great set of floor alphabet mats that I would like it have for my pre-k classroom.

26 Toni June 30, 2013 at 8:01 am

28 Kathy L June 30, 2013 at 8:07 am

I LOVE Discount School Supply! They have the best prices and the quality is still excellent. I really like the Tree Blocks. They add a natural element to the children’s construction creations. I love the easel as it is multi-purpose and folds up for storage since I have a smaller classroom.

I’ve been on the lookout for good quality shelves/storage units for the classrooms and was amazed at the prices for the pieces I saw there! I will definitely keep them in mind when pinpointing my needs for the new school year. I also absolutely love the big easel!! Joette

Really liked the Smartmax magnetic set!

40 Debbie Rowland June 30, 2013 at 8:35 am

Our school purchases all supplies from Discount School Supply. I would like to have a set of the Magna Tiles. They are just to pricey for me to purchase myself for my classroom and school has a VERY limited budget.

41 Melissa Mize June 30, 2013 at 8:35 am

It would be the Multi-Use Learning Easel. It looks like a great tool to have. Thanks!!

43 Tricia June 30, 2013 at 8:46 am

I’m a homeschool mom and I have a child with that has special needs. This will help her out a lot. The many uses it has I’ve been trying to do without this, so having it will help. I use discount school supply for many years. Before children I use them in my day care and now with soon to be 6 children I still use them.
Thanks for the chance to get something we could use a lot.

44 Kellie June 30, 2013 at 8:46 am

Hello, The easel is great. Discount School Supply sells indestructible scoops which I find to be the best for sandbox play. Regular shovels fall apart quickly but these last and last.

I want the Magna-Tiles! Our new standards for next year include kindergartners understanding magnetism and these “toys” would really help with hands-on understanding.

49 Meaghan Taylor June 30, 2013 at 8:53 am

BLOCKS! Large blocks, table top blocks, wooden blocks, foam blocks…All are important in our classroom and get used CONSTANTLY…a great selection!

50 Cheryl Stanke June 30, 2013 at 8:54 am

I never even knew about discount school supplies until I started following your website. I can’t get over all the great items they have for everything. My school follows the high scope curriculum which is sometimes difficult to plan for. The item I really love at Discount School supply is the light table. It looks awesome! I may have to see if I can order that this year!

51 Karen June 30, 2013 at 8:58 am

I LOVE Discount Supply because they offer replacements to sets we have in the classroom (i.e., magnetic wands, tricycle parts, etc…) They also have a good variety of supplies, including the cheapest art supplies (paper, paint, glue) and curriculum support with lists of materials that go with the various approved curriculum. I love the deluxe classroom closet! Always in need of more organizational space – especially ones with doors! Love how low this multi-use easel is to the floor. Many of the fold-up easels I have seen are too tall for the kids to fully use.

60 Debra Lee June 30, 2013 at 9:11 am

I love the science activity table. That would be so good for my kinders. The quiet explorations, the buddy experiments, and sharing, cooperating, and noting results or showing what they did in a drawing would be so good. Just think of all they could do!

61 Kim June 30, 2013 at 9:13 am

I really like the Colorations Liquid Watercolor paints! You can do many fantastic art and science projects with these paints!

74 Meg Ross June 30, 2013 at 3:30 pm

We use DSS for many things at our preschool. I love the tempura paint cakes… love that I can separate out a color so for example, if we are concentrating on “red” then that is the only color I give them vs. the traditional tray of watercolors.
Also love the blocks… so many wonderful varieties to mix and match!

75 Kimberly Giancola June 30, 2013 at 9:35 am

I love the 3 tub sensory table!

76 Jennye Shaling June 30, 2013 at 9:36 am

Hope I win the easel!

Thanks to you and DSS!

Jennifer

84 Michelle June 30, 2013 at 9:46 am

I would love the set of 12 hand puppets. So many cool uses for these! Retelling a story, dramatic play, or just being silly to keep a group of 4 year olds attention during a lesson! The list goes on and on!!!! Michelle

85 Rabia Hastey June 30, 2013 at 9:48 am

I really hope I get this! It would be a fantastic addition to a new teachers classroom!

91 Holly June 30, 2013 at 10:21 am

My Healthy Plate Magnet Activity Set would be such a great tool to have in my classroom to teach preschoolers the importance of nutrition. Children should be introduced to health and ways to take care of themselves by choosing proper nutrition.

92 Jenny Zender June 30, 2013 at 10:22 am

Thank you for the chance to win such a great prize! I really need a nice easel in my room! Looks like this would be a nice one! I love Discount School Supply and of course your blog! If I could pick out anything on the the store (besides wanting it all :), I am trying to spruce up my science center so I would get the Super Science kit to have a variety of things for my center!

95 Andrea Norris June 30, 2013 at 10:25 am

Right now I would love to have a spectacular science center so there are a bunch of manipulative I would love. For one, I would like the the Tadpole to Frog metamorphosis play set. We are getting a tadpole this year as our class pet and really thing this would be a great addition to the center.

96 Sharon Kelly June 30, 2013 at 10:28 am

There are so many thing at Discount School Supply, but the students and I like the Excellerations Building Brilliance Magnetic Shapes. They never get tired of them, and they are very creative with their imaginations. They could probably even use them on the Multi-Use Learning Easal!

97 Julie Choudhary June 30, 2013 at 10:33 am

Where to start, I love the whole catalog. But if I have to choose one item, it would be Bio Color. I love that you can use it for so many beautiful projects. One of my best purchases over the years has been my Mobile Classroom Drying Rack.

I am sad that Discount chose to not carry music and books by Bev Bos.
I think we have a whole new generation of teachers that need to be introduced to Don’t Move the Muffin Tins.

98 suze littlefox June 30, 2013 at 10:37 am

Table top puppet theater….how cool is THAT?

99 Karissa June 30, 2013 at 10:39 am

100 Brenda Branch June 30, 2013 at 10:44 am

I love the table top light box.

101 Robin June 30, 2013 at 10:50 am

There are so many wonderful items available, but I really liked the Alphabet Lace-Ups. We have adopted a little girl from Asia and the shape of our letters are very interesting to her. I can think of many different uses for this product. Now I do realize that the give-away is for a multi-use easel which would be very helpful also. It would be a valuable tool to have and I can think of many ways to use it too.

Thank you,

We are updating our library…ordering book sets will definitely be an option. I would like our teachers to use flannel board stories on a regular basis…the multi-use easel would certainly be a great addition to our program!

103 Janet T. June 30, 2013 at 10:59 am

I was surprised to see the curriculum ideas. I’m more familiar with their catalog. Can you ever have enough BioColor ideas?

104 Andrea June 30, 2013 at 11:00 am

I always order watercolor paper from discount school supply.

105 louise June 30, 2013 at 11:03 am

I would love to have the dinosaur sand mold set!

106 Roselle June 30, 2013 at 11:03 am

Love the idea that this folds up for easy storage! Felt board was my favorite time when I was in elementary school, and this sturdy easel would make it so easy to use for story retell!

107 Liane Hodgman June 30, 2013 at 11:03 am

Children loved the flower match garden patch this year from Discount School Supply!

108 Debbie Y. June 30, 2013 at 11:04 am

I loved the science display table with lots of sides and storage underneath. It would be so inviting for discovery. Would also love the Learning Easel for my classroom this fall! Thanks for the link to the Discount School Supply. A great resource!

109 BJ Thorn June 30, 2013 at 11:06 am

I would love to have the Best Value Reading and Writing Center Teaching Easel

110 Sara Davis June 30, 2013 at 11:11 am

I love how Discount School Supply has a special needs section. As a special education teacher, fostering confidence through independence is so important. Sometimes my students need adapted scissors for cutting practice or fun manipulatives like Squueze and Feed Frog (featured in one of the sub sections for special needs educators).
Big SHOUT OUT to DSS!

111 Marilyn Andersen June 30, 2013 at 11:17 am

I am a big fan of Discount School Supply. I love their arts and crafts supplies. From the beads to the googly eyes. They have great prices on their products! I would love the easel. It would be soooo versatile and useful.

112 Carol T. June 30, 2013 at 11:20 am

Hi!

I window shopped at Discount and found so many things I would love to have. The item I have wanted for so long is the “Mobile Fold-N-Lock with 25 Clear E-Z Glide Storage Trays.” It would be so nice to have so much organized space and so easy to store at the end of the year.

Would love to win the easel. It would save space and we’d be able to have 2 centers in one place.

Thanks for the chance.

Carol T.

113 Amy June 30, 2013 at 11:21 am

I like the TrueModern® 20-Cubby Shelf Storage. :)

114 WendyP June 30, 2013 at 11:26 am

Love this easel but would also love to try their liquid water colors. I have seen you use them as well as others I know. This easel would work wonderfully in my child are setting with how if folds up for easy storage when not in use.

115 Ellie June 30, 2013 at 11:28 am

I absolutely love the light table! It offers countless creative possibilities for the children to explore their environment.

116 Sharon June 30, 2013 at 11:33 am

I love the magnetic discovery board from Discount School Supply because the children can play with magnets but the teacher does not need to worry that the children might put the small pieces in their mouths!

117 Doreen June 30, 2013 at 11:34 am

I regularly order all our supplies from Discount School Supply. My favorite products are the Dot Markers and Colorations Water paint. This easel is beautiful I would love to win this.

118 Nancy Garron June 30, 2013 at 11:35 am

Hi Deborah,

As an owner of a preschool, I am always looking for ways to open the hearts and minds of my staff, as well as my self, to the changing needs of young children. Because I am passionate about teaching, my staff and I have been using your website to enhance our curriculum all year long! I’ve made so many changes and purchases because of your blogs and have not only become inspired as a teacher, but have been able to inspire my staff because of your ideas! I went to the Discount School Supply website to check out toddler size table and chairs. I am adding a new classroom and as I am painting the room, I am thinking of how to purchase and arrange smaller furniture. The chairs I have now for three year olds are too high, so I will need new ones. I’ve looked at a lot of sites and I think they have the best quality and price for such a large purchase. I love the easel and think it would be a great addition, as well!
Thanks for what you do, don’t stop!
Nancy Garron

119 Gina June 30, 2013 at 11:39 am

Discount School Supply has great variety and prices! I enjoyed browsing their site thinking about next school year. I have always wanted a drying rack for art projects because my classroom has limited space. The space saver drying rack would be an item to add to my wish list.

120 Sally Hinz June 30, 2013 at 11:45 am

We often buy from Discount. They have so many wonderful products it’s hard to choose. But I do like the Button Bingo!

121 Debbie June 30, 2013 at 11:47 am

I love DSS’s Colorations Liquid Watercolors! They produce such vibrant colors and are wonderful to use for many different art projects, including dropper art. They are also great to use for coloring playdough, slime, etc., and….they are washable! :)

122 Jennifer June 30, 2013 at 11:51 am

It is to hard to really choose one thing that I like from discount school supply :), but if I did have to choose one it would be the Market Activity Loft! I have always wanted a loft for my class room. One of these years I will get one :) Thanks so much for doing this give away! Can’t wait to see if I won it

123 Elizabeth June 30, 2013 at 11:51 am

I’ve been shopping at DSS for years…My favorite find from there is probably the Magna Tiles, but I also love all their interesting, unique and well-priced craft items!

124 Monika June 30, 2013 at 11:52 am

I could really use this easel, I’m brand new to teaching so I have a very limited supply of things.
Your website is amazing and helped me create lesson plans for class!
Thanks

125 Shifra June 30, 2013 at 11:53 am

Actually, out of everything, it really is an easel that I would love the most! The easel I have now is cracked and broken, but my school doesn’t have the money to buy me a new one, and that’s not the kind of thing I can spring for for myself. I would love to win this!!!

126 Fiona Reyna June 30, 2013 at 11:55 am

Love, love, love Discount School Supply! I buy all our washable tempera paints, our glitter tempera, liquid watercolours, and just recently ordered the powdered tempera paint. Great quality, vibrant colours, and lasts a while (unless you just love their website like I do, and always find something else to order – ha!) The only thing I have had my eye on there is the Roller Board – looks like so much fun and reasonably priced too – anyone tried yet? Thanks for the giveaway opportunity – the easel looks neat!

127 Pam June 30, 2013 at 11:55 am

I would love the weighted body blanket to use with my special needs preschoolers.

128 Theresa Barnes June 30, 2013 at 11:56 am

As a Special Education Early Childhood teacher I am always looking for ways to keep my kiddos engaged. The Button Bear Weighted Lap Pad is the perfect item to keep my students on the Autism Spectrum participating at carpet time. The items you have are value-priced and of great quality.
The Multi-Use Learning Easel looks fabulous! We would get great use out of that!

129 Laura June 30, 2013 at 11:59 am

I am liking forward to getting the easy grip sponge stampedes in simple shapes from discount school supply. These will be easy for my 2′s and almost3′s to use… Rather than hoping the clothes pin stays clipped or for those little guys who don’t enjoy getting their hands messy! Laura

130 Linda June 30, 2013 at 11:59 am

So many wonderful things!! I absolutely LOVE the 911 Rescue Truck!

131 Wanda Whitesides June 30, 2013 at 12:05 pm

I love DSS! There are so many great things at DSS; we love getting our arts and crafts supplies from DSS. I also like their storage shelves and bookshelves- so reasonably priced; we are slowing working to update our classrooms with these. We also have a variety of the math manipulatives that are on our wish list.

132 Karen Kirkpatrick June 30, 2013 at 12:07 pm

It’s a tough choice between the wooden parking garage and the wooden barn in the Animals and Playsets section of Dramatic Play on the Discount School Supply site. Among other uses, those two items would help with the Country Life/City Life theme. If I could only have one of the two, I would start with the wooden barn.

133 Diana June 30, 2013 at 12:08 pm

I would love to have the kidney shaped table!

134 Valerie June 30, 2013 at 12:13 pm

We have an easel that I’m not too happy with – this one looks much better!
I love the storage options over at Discount School Supply – especially the Book Display Shelf Storage – I love that the books become easily seen and accessible! Could really use one over here! :)

135 Anita Hennessey June 30, 2013 at 12:14 pm

Oh my gosh!! I found an almost realistic mailbox in the Dramatic Play section. The kids would have so much fun with that!! I want EVERYTHING on the website!! If Deborah recommends your site, it must be good!!

136 Michelle Voller June 30, 2013 at 12:17 pm

I love Discount School Supply and have used their products in my classroom for years. As I browse their website, I am drawn to the art supplies and would love to use some their unique colored and glittered tempera paints! The multipurpose easel would be a huge asset to my classroom as well!

Thanks,
Michelle Voller

137 Jessica Fredeen June 30, 2013 at 12:20 pm

I would love to have the Easy-Loading Tape Dispenser – Without Tape for my writing area. I saw this in one of your past post with the kids using tape with sticks and loved the idea. I can’t believe I never thought of it. I was thinking the color tape would tear off easier than scotch tape does.

138 Susie June 30, 2013 at 12:23 pm

The children in my preschool classroom love Magna-Tiles. They work together to create amazing structures, from towers to castles. Our school regularly orders from Discount School Supply. Thanks for the opportunity to enter this give-away!
Susie

139 Kathy Tudor June 30, 2013 at 12:26 pm

What WOULDN’T I want from Discount School Supply !?!? Looking at their site is like a kid with a toy catalog at Christmas! Since we are always trying to make our storage more efficient, I would love to have the 20 cubby storage system with thw clear bins to use in our classroom.

140 Amy June 30, 2013 at 12:28 pm

I would love the easel that you featured! I have been on the hunt for be that’s bigger. I live the size of,it and that it folds flat for storage. I have many of their art supplies that I use for my school and love!

141 Becca June 30, 2013 at 12:28 pm

I have wanted to buy their Biocolor Paint Kit for a while- maybe my little guys’ next birthday? (Who am I kidding? I should get it for MY birthday!) The easel would be great to go with it! :)

142 Tammi McGinn June 30, 2013 at 12:48 pm

One of the great things on the Discount School Supply website is the set of 6 math book set. It has real pictures and help children with math with real items.

143 Carrie Ingram June 30, 2013 at 12:51 pm

The “See-All” Sand and Water Table looks like an awesome center for a preschool!

144 Judy June 30, 2013 at 1:00 pm

I could spend all day browsing through the Discount School Supply site! I was interested to note that the Colorations® Wheat & Gluten-Free Dough is also nut free. I have many students with gluten, nut, and other allergies coming to my classroom this year so this would be great.

145 Gracelin June 30, 2013 at 1:09 pm

I love the High Scope Language Kit

146 Kelley June 30, 2013 at 1:09 pm

My preschool friends and I LOVE the Career Costumes. Not only do we use them during our Community Helpers unit, but we rotate them in and out all year. The children also love to were them outside. I love discount school supplies.

147 Meghan June 30, 2013 at 1:10 pm

I love all their art supplies, and active play supplies. Thanks!

148 Susan H. June 30, 2013 at 1:10 pm

I love the Colorations wheat free and gluten free dough. I teach preschool and have Celiac disease and can not have traditional play dough in my classroom since it is made with flour. This playdough would be great for me and my classroom!

149 Cara Cass June 30, 2013 at 1:11 pm

I love Discount School Supply’s liquid water color!!! It gives us brighter colors than food coloring sometimes!! Hope this is the winning comment!!

150 Ruby June 30, 2013 at 1:11 pm

Anything from Discount School Supply. I LOVE all of the products. The Easel would help especially now with my almost 7 yr with 1 grade work.

151 KathyBox June 30, 2013 at 1:13 pm

152 Brenda Jeter June 30, 2013 at 1:14 pm

The site is so comprehensive and user-friendly! Thanks!!!

153 Melanie Bowers June 30, 2013 at 1:14 pm

I’d love the excellerations bright brilliance magnetic building tiles. We have a small set of Magna Tiles that I’d love to expand and I am huge fan of DSS and love their products and think these blocks would make a great addition to our block area. The easel is awesome, too!

154 Lisa Warren June 30, 2013 at 1:14 pm

Love this! It would make a great addition to my signing classes!!

155 Kim Schadrack June 30, 2013 at 1:14 pm

I love the tree blocks with bark. I’m thinking of adding these to my other tree blocks with small animals for my building area.

156 Lori Weimer June 30, 2013 at 1:14 pm

We have ordered most of our school supplies from Discount School Supplies for years and appreciate the reasonable prices they offer.
I love the big bag of foam shapes, since I cannot find them locally. The tempera paint is great and super low priced. I could go on and on… great place for everything you need in the classroom.

157 Maggie June 30, 2013 at 1:15 pm

I would love a set of magna-tiles for my classroom!

158 Annie June 30, 2013 at 1:15 pm

159 Janice Galarza June 30, 2013 at 1:15 pm

Very useful easel!

160 Heidi Pisle June 30, 2013 at 1:18 pm

I would love to have the light box for my classroom! I have wanted one for over a year but have yet to get one. I may try to create one on my own until I get one. :)

161 Kristan Price June 30, 2013 at 1:18 pm

My kids just LOVE the Carry-All Art Caddies. They don’t just use them for art supplies either! They have one each for their art supplies and one each for their little toys. They carry them around all the time. My son usually totes his around with his Hot Wheels cars and my daughter fills hers with her Safari Ltd. Toob animals. :)

162 Therese Wood June 30, 2013 at 1:19 pm

Hello Deborah!

I wish I had known about this website a long time ago. I appreciate that it was easy to get around but I especially like that it is broken down into specific areas.
I would love to receive a multi-purpose easel! It would make sense in our classroom. I love the quiet foam dividers as it is low enough to where teachers can still see the rest of the class but provides the needed boundary without the bulkiness of shelves.
Thanks for sharing! :D

163 K's Mom June 30, 2013 at 1:19 pm

Love it all! Easel would be so useful. Expanding our playground, so I absolutely love the Outdoor Vine House!

164 Cheryl June 30, 2013 at 1:20 pm

I really like many things on discount school supplies website – currently looking to build my dramatic play area and I would love the deluxe primary kitchen!!

Hopefully to win the multi purpose easel!! Fingers crossed!!!

LOVE the wide assortment of playground stuff. I would like to be able to get some new items.

168 Margo Cook June 30, 2013 at 1:21 pm

I love all things science. I really like the light exploration kit.

169 Carole Brown June 30, 2013 at 1:22 pm

I LOVE all of it! What I would most like to add to my classroom (besides the awesome multipurpose easel) is the tabletop light box. :)

170 Bonnie June 30, 2013 at 1:23 pm

It’s almost impossible to choose one item from all the fabulous items in the DSS catalog…I would love the Tree Blocks without Bark…I love taking my students outside for nature activities and these would lend that to inside play as well. I would love the Multi-Purpose Easel for my classroom.

171 Jenna June 30, 2013 at 1:23 pm

I love the felt story sets, story books, and cds that would go great with this easel!

172 JennyM June 30, 2013 at 1:23 pm

I love the walking ropes! Especially for toddlers; it really helps keep them in a nice line and is awesome when used for fire drills because it keeps the whole class together!

173 Jessica Hook June 30, 2013 at 1:24 pm

I love the toddler light table! I would use it in conjunction with a clear plastic salt box to promote fine motor/writing/literacy skills! :-)

174 Deborah Evans June 30, 2013 at 1:26 pm

I would love to have lots of stuff for my classroom! I don’t have a Sand & Water Table with Shelf so that’s what I’d pick out if I had the money! ;)

175 Heidi G. June 30, 2013 at 1:28 pm

I love DSS Biocolor paints and liquid water colors. I especially love the fluorescent paints. They add so much to the children’s art. It is also nice how affordable and long lasting they are.

176 Erika June 30, 2013 at 1:28 pm

I LOVE the Deluxe Marble Race. I have one in my classroom and I bought one for my son at home because he loves it too! Of all the things I have purchased from DSS, that is my favorite. I have recommended it to parents as well.

177 Hyla Boelman June 30, 2013 at 1:28 pm

Gears, Gears, Gears would be excellent for sorting by size and color as well as supplementing science

178 Lynn June 30, 2013 at 3:09 pm

Love the gears gears gears too!

179 Amie June 30, 2013 at 1:29 pm

I would absolutely LOVE the multi-use easel in the post! Beyond that, the Beginner Pattern Blocks look great!

180 Mary Peterson June 30, 2013 at 1:30 pm

I found so many wonderful things on the Discount School Supply website! One of the items that most impressed me was the Highscope Toddler Kit. Indeed all the High scope products looked wonderful. Thank you for introducing me to such a great resource for educational tools and supplies!!

Stephanie

183 Pamela H June 30, 2013 at 1:33 pm

So many things to choose from on the DSS website! I’ve added the Fun with Phonics Carpet to my wish list. The letters are great but I’m thinking of all of the cool large-scale graphing and sorting my students could do with this rug.

184 Tiffany Harris June 30, 2013 at 1:34 pm

We LOVE using Discount School Supply at our school! Since we are expanding from one section of each 3’s and 4’s preschool to three sections, we have definitely been enjoying a little bit of “shopping” but as always, the budget is limited for our program. We would LOVE to have a new easel at our new location for preschool and ECFE! :)

Tiffany

185 Nikki May June 30, 2013 at 1:37 pm

I love the easel, I’ve been wanting one for awhile, but it’s not easy to get something of that magnitude approved for purchase. BUT, what I liked on the website is biocolor paint. You can do so much with the biocolors! I would specifically say the Complete Biocolor Paint Kit. Bioputty AND fabric medium with the paints, I totally could go for that!

186 Deena June 30, 2013 at 1:38 pm

The Biocolor app. I use the bio paint in my class so this is a winner for me.

187 Amanda McCullah June 30, 2013 at 1:39 pm

I love the magnetic building shapes!!!!

188 Lesley Maurer June 30, 2013 at 1:39 pm

Hello! We often use discount school supplies at our school. I was interested in the tree blocks, and was also looking at some of their arts and craft, and storage supplies. The multi-Use easel would sure come in handy!

189 Terry June 30, 2013 at 1:39 pm

I use discount for all supplies….really like the marble tube game

190 Lisa Constantin June 30, 2013 at 1:40 pm

This would be a great space saver! Does so much and has so many uses!!

191 KatieQ June 30, 2013 at 1:41 pm

I really like the 32 piece Magna-Tiles in Clear Colors. The manipulatives table is always one of the most popular stations in our classroom.

192 Gayleen M June 30, 2013 at 1:42 pm

I Love your web site and have used many ideas/activities in my preschool.

According to our OT, having the students working up right instead of looking down at a desk is highly beneficial :)! We would love a multi-use learning easel.

Thanks for sharing them.

193 Debbie Thompson June 30, 2013 at 1:42 pm

Would love the Excellerations Light Table. My children would absolutely love this. I also liked the magnetic shapes! Oh to have unlimited funds!

194 Megan Shealy June 30, 2013 at 1:43 pm

I love all the resources the site offers for homeschooling!

195 Cathy June 30, 2013 at 1:43 pm

The Sand and Water Activity Tubs are wonderful! They can be used inside or outdoors for endless sensory experiences, as well as a space for art, games and other activities. Love, love, love them!

196 Stephanie June 30, 2013 at 1:43 pm

This would be a space saver, and would be so many classroom pieces in one.

197 Katrin June 30, 2013 at 1:44 pm

I love the “My perfect classroom” series. They look well made yet plain and simple enough for ease of use and organisation! The double sided storage would make a great room divider!

198 Jean Barresi June 30, 2013 at 1:44 pm

Well, what isn’t to love about Discount School Supply?! But my mind is on space saving organization now, so this easel or the 4 section double sided mobile library bookshelf look great! We love their paper and paints the most.

199 Terri Monteverdi June 30, 2013 at 1:46 pm

There is so much on their site – hard to pick just one thing… but since I HAVE to choose one thing – I’d go for their double sided storage cases and use them as a low divider in my kids’ rooms to give them a sense of having their very own space. (But the little foam shapes and math manipulatives would be a very close second!).

200 Holly Johnson June 30, 2013 at 1:46 pm

Discount School Supply has an entire section that places emphasis on Head Start and materials just for Early/Preschool Head Start students. I love that concept. I really like the Planet Frog Live Frog Habitat. Each year I do a unit about the life cycle of a frog. The last two years I have been unable to find tadpoles in our area. I think it would be great to have a habitat that the students could watch the entire life cycle happen before their eyes!!!!!!! The easel would also come in handy as I am moving classrooms and in my new classroom I will not have a large dry erase board to use for teaching/students to draw/write on.
Thanks!

201 Patti B. June 30, 2013 at 1:46 pm

I would love to grab the Phonics Flippers for my classroom. My older students needing extra enrichment in small groups would put these to great use!

202 Brenda Presnell June 30, 2013 at 1:46 pm

I love how Discount school supply supports all the different curriculum styles!!! I absolutely LOVE this easel — it would help me build my classroom and help my program grow!! Once the other teachers saw this I know they would all head over to Discount School Supply to get some!! :)

203 Robin Cannady June 30, 2013 at 1:47 pm

I would love any hands on manipulatives like the Linkazoo construction set. I’ve never had a light table, so that would be cool. The multi-use easel is awesome. I would be happy with anything new!

204 Kerrigan June 30, 2013 at 1:49 pm

I would love to have any and all math manipulatives! I work in a low-income district and starting the kids off with strong(er) mathematical foundations would dramatically improve their lives :)

205 Amy Marsh June 30, 2013 at 1:50 pm

My school loves Discount School Supply , we use many of their products. I hadn’t noticed the Gas-N-Go Play Center before and think that looks like fun.

206 salena smith June 30, 2013 at 1:51 pm

I love discount school supply. I buy a lot of things for my classroom from there.

207 StephanieN June 30, 2013 at 1:51 pm

I have been ordering from Discount for a little bit now. I love the quality of their merchandise and the pricing! I really love this particular easel. I have had one similar to it on my wishlist for awhile now.

208 Frankie June 30, 2013 at 1:51 pm

Love the art supplies that they offer!! Would love to have new to my classroom the easel & some of the room dividers!!

209 Lisabeth Brown June 30, 2013 at 1:52 pm

Each day I spend with my kinder-bears, I learn amazing things. While I try to reach them with CCSS as I am required, my greatest hope is to have them leave my classroom smiling and giggling about a book we read, congratulating each other on a new sight word learned, or thinking about a character in a book and how they’d like to find out more. Our favorite place is our ‘gathering spot’ where we listen to stories, have discussions, or lay on our tummies and read. I would love to have a ‘Reading by the Books’ rug in my classroom. Not only is it bright and colorful, but it allows for spacing for little bottoms when we’re visiting as a whole class.

210 Leisha C June 30, 2013 at 1:52 pm

I would love the multi-purpose easel for my classroom! I order most of my supplies through discount school supply every year. They have everything I need (and wish I could have!)

211 Angela Albert June 30, 2013 at 1:52 pm

I love discount school supply and this EASEL would be perfect for my 2 yr old classroom !

212 DARLENE June 30, 2013 at 1:53 pm

THIS IS AMAZING. IT WOULD BE A GREAT AND WELCOMED ADDED ADDITION TO OUR DAYCARE. THANKS FOR OFFERING SUCH A THING TO DAYCARE PEOPLE. MANY MANY USES FOR THIS. THANKS

213 Vikki Levy June 30, 2013 at 1:57 pm

High Scope Toddler set

214 Becki W June 30, 2013 at 2:00 pm

Discount has so many awesome products it’s hard to choose just one I’d like to have in my class! That being said, I’ve wanted a light table for years now, so that’s what I would buy if I could have anything!

I LOVE this easel! I’ve been looking for a cheap, multipurpose easel like this for awhile (and with no luck) to take the place of what I am currently using! This is absolutely PERFECT! Fingers crossed!

215 Tina Lemon June 30, 2013 at 2:01 pm

I love this product! I like that the children can see how the roots grow in the tubes. I also like how it aligns with the developmental learning standards!

216 Chery W. June 30, 2013 at 2:01 pm

I order from Discount School Supply every year. I would love the Grocery Store Shelf for my dramatic play area. I also like their construction paper. It is reasonably priced and the quality and colors are great. I love the easel that you are giving away. I like how it is wide and low enough for young children to easily use.

217 Twingle Mommy June 30, 2013 at 2:01 pm

I like the girls 12 piece dress up set. My girls and probably my son too would love that!

218 hgreen June 30, 2013 at 2:02 pm

Hi Deborah,
I just went to the Discount School Supply web site; I wanted to share with you a new product they carry. “Smart Snacks food counting” looks like a fun activity. Its a bowl containing five fruits. Each fruit piece has sections that velcro together. The twist on this activity is the numbers and counting dots painted into each of the fruit sections. A simple change to a common toy. Making this a math activity as well as a healthy foods dramatic play toy. Ready for many hours of fun for most preschool aged children!

219 Tanya Hofbauer June 30, 2013 at 2:03 pm

I want… and will be getting soon is the Hanging/Table Top Drying Rack. I need this bad! lol For our art area.

220 susan squire June 30, 2013 at 2:03 pm

I love the mailbox, mail and mail bag set. In this age of technology and computers., the art of letter writing is going by the wayside. Since our preschoolers have to learn how to write their names before entering Kindergarten, this would be a wonderful way to practice the art of letter writing. They love to practice “pre-writing” anyway, this would just motivate them more. Love it!

221 Kristi G June 30, 2013 at 2:04 pm

227 Teri Green June 30, 2013 at 2:11 pm

One of my favorite items I’ve gotten from Discount School Supplies is their Deluxe Primary Kitchen! It’s bright and fun! It doesn’t take up much space and the kids love playing in our home living area! I’m moving to a new site, so I’m hoping to get another one!! Love Discount School Supplies!!

229 Brenda June 30, 2013 at 2:12 pm

Being on the discount school supply website is like putting a kid in a catndy shop! I love everything! I absolutely love the versatility of the easel featured. I use a white board, a sentence strip holder, a felt board and weekly charts every week. Having one place to utilize all of these would make my days so much more organized! Also, since my room is used for Sunday school, this easel can easily be stored away until Monday morning!

230 Lisa June 30, 2013 at 2:12 pm

I love the Magnetic Discovery Board! I don’t have it, but I would love to have one of those too! The multi-purpose easel would be perfect for my classroom…I have, what I call, a shoebox room. It’s tiny and is only allowed to hold 9 kids, but I love it and the kids do too! Because of the size of my room, many things serve multi-functions and this would be perfect for up to 4 kids at center time and for use for me to interact with them during circle time!

I also like the Lotto Listening Games. I used two of them last school year. What a fun way to “train” children’s to listen for sounds!

239 Cheryl Brown June 30, 2013 at 2:19 pm

I would love to have the Science Activity Table for my five year-olds. With so little space many times the tables we have are needed for other areas. This stand alone table would be great for describing, classifying and experimenting. Would be awesome with our fish aquarium and (lizard display) we will get this year.

Thank you.

I have found the Sand and Water Activity Center table to be a wonderful addition to our classroom. Not only do we fill it with sand, dirt, beans……we also have taken the plug out, slipped an under counter light cord down through and placed the light on top of foil and added a clear plastic top with frost contact paper to make a light table. Awesome quality and sturdiness.

This company has a great idea and I would love be help promote their products by having one in my room to show other teachers.

282 Laura June 30, 2013 at 3:13 pm

Love Discount & that Multi-use Learning Easel! But my first item of choice is the Liquid Watercolor Paint. They have good prices & I can’t seem to find them at multiple stores. I remember asking other teachers about it the first time I subbed in a classroom with it. It made it sooo easy for the little ones to use watercolors & for adults to set up.

305 Ellen Cole June 30, 2013 at 3:58 pm

One of my favorite things that I buy all the time is tracing paper! I also see they have tracing shapes . . .hmmm I may have to go back and buy them! Thanks. Ellen

309 Deb Richardson June 30, 2013 at 4:12 pm

I visited Discount School Supply and found these wonderful little Multicultural Career figures. They’re soft (my little ones will “mouth” these), they have a good representation of different cultures (diversity -very important!), and they also represent many interesting careers (new vocabulary!!), they’re a good size for chubby little fists. I think these wonderful little figures would be a big hit with my little chaps.

310 Jan K June 30, 2013 at 4:13 pm

320 Stacy June 30, 2013 at 4:35 pm

After teaching in elementary school I am making the switch to starting my own in-home preschool!!! So checking out the Discount School Supply website was like a kid in a candy shop!

The name of my school is Sunny Days Pre-K and I am on the hunt for a circle time rug so of course the “sunny day learn and play” carpet definitely caught my eye. I thought it was a great price from what I have seen in my online searches. I am also looking for a place for the kids to hang their bookbags so the “take home center coat locker with tubs” would be amazing.

I am definitely planning to have daily circle time and have been on the look out for something exactly like the multi-use easel! It would be amazing to win!!

321 jessica rodweller June 30, 2013 at 4:45 pm

342 Julie Larson June 30, 2013 at 5:38 pm

Cool website. I am just starting a new position in a preschool and I have not been able to examine what supplies are already in the classroom, but I would love to have a visual schedule. This is the first time I have visited your site. Love all the great developmentally appropriate ideas!

343 Marchell June 30, 2013 at 5:40 pm

Hi,
I just visited the Discount School Supply website and I am thinking of purchasing the tabletop puppet theater for my classroom this year. I need something that will not take up a great deal of space and kid friendly. Thanks for your great ideas!

345 Donna June 30, 2013 at 5:42 pm

348 Kathy Paul June 30, 2013 at 5:50 pm

I liked the Pattern Piggies. There are so many different ways to use these that my students would not get tired of them. They can be used individually and in small group activities!

349 Gwynne Fullmer June 30, 2013 at 5:51 pm

I want some fingerpainting paper—the textured paper looks really interesting! I also want craft tape, but this is not the place for my shopping list, is it?

350 Rhonda Page June 30, 2013 at 5:53 pm

We would love to add the Toddler Light Table for $397.89 to Rhonda’s Family Child Care inventory. The experiences and explorations for the children would be endless!!! Thank you for helping us rediscover Discount School Supply, it’s been a while.

351 Rhythm June 30, 2013 at 5:57 pm

That easel looks pretty awesome! For me, Discount School Supply is a Ball Heaven!

352 Marianne Edwards June 30, 2013 at 6:01 pm

I love bio colors paints. I buy it by the gallon in red, yellow and blue and we create lots of different colors for our projects.

353 Wendy June 30, 2013 at 6:04 pm

I’m looking for leveled readers. I see that they have a nice supply of Scholastic Readers for Level A. More importantly, the multi-purpose easel is the main thing that I am needing.

354 Debbie Mandero June 30, 2013 at 6:05 pm

I love Discount School Supply, and often order from them. Right now I am checking out their bookshelves/book rack, as what I have now, just isn`t working for the kiddos :) Thankyou for making this easel available for the give away. I had not come across it on the site, and it is wonderful!!

355 Linda June 30, 2013 at 6:08 pm

I love everything at the Discount School Supply site! I have been wishing for a light table for a couple years, but that easel would be wonderful in my pre-k classroom:)

356 Ellen C. June 30, 2013 at 6:08 pm

I love the light table!

357 Bonnie June 30, 2013 at 6:08 pm

I use discount school supply products alot. I love their biocolor paints for art projects and the construction paper is good quality and a great price. I have purchased many art materials, dramatic play puppets, and a grocery store stand that I just love as much as my pre-k students do too. Thanks for bringing the multi-use easel to our attention, this is a great product, I especially like that the white board is magnetic.

358 Linda Jones June 30, 2013 at 6:09 pm

My absolutely favorite school items from Discount School Supply are the bio-color paints. The colors are vibrant and stay that way even after drying. The dried paint does not flake off. Children have to work to muddy the colors.

359 Patrice June 30, 2013 at 6:11 pm

I LOVE the Liquid Watercolors! They have so many applications and the colors are very vibrant. What a fabulous product.

360 Jessica Jackson June 30, 2013 at 6:13 pm

I absolutely love Discount School Supply’s Colorations Liquid Water Colors. We use them for everything! Besides painting we use them to dye noodles, craft sticks, playdough, and rice.

361 Penny Krueger June 30, 2013 at 6:16 pm

I love the white sulphite paper. We purchased the 18″ x 24″ in 500 sheets and use it primarily for tempera painting. During art camp a professional artist complemented us on the quality of the paper.

362 Christina June 30, 2013 at 6:24 pm

I love the wall calendar. I have one in my classroom and it is so easy to use. The cards that come with it are very sturdy and the graphics are great.

363 Vicky Grotton June 30, 2013 at 6:26 pm

I visited the website and really need a Deluxe Space-Saver Drying Rack
Item # SAVESPC . I’m always trying to use any flat surface as a drying spot for 20 projects and I’m always worried someone’s will be ruined. This easel looks perfect for my classroom! I’ve never seen one so low to the ground and that’s where me and my PreK-ers are always working. :) Thanks for the opportunity to win an easel!

364 Leslie W June 30, 2013 at 6:45 pm

I love the Big Screen Play Panels, in order to divide our toddler room into two spaces. On adult for each play space!

365 Nancy L S June 30, 2013 at 6:53 pm

In addition to the whiteboard, My boys and little girl would love their acrylic bug specimens. I can imagine them using a magnifying glass to take a clise look and then classifying the bugs into insects and spiders. I also love the idea of improving my “mud area” (wish it was a mud room) with some of their coat lockers! Thanks for the chance to win the multi-use board!

366 Mrs. P June 30, 2013 at 6:54 pm

What a fabulous easel! I’d love to win this for my students! When I visited the discount school supply site I loved seeing that they carry the kid Kraft brand-love that stuff, it is indestructible! Also, I saw that they have mobile sinks! Something I have thought my child’s school should invest in (some of the teachers shy away from doing art with their kiddos because the sinks in the bathrooms are so far away). I’ll need to pass the info about the sinks along to them. Thanks for offering this wonderful giveaway! Mrs. P

367 Natasha June 30, 2013 at 7:01 pm

368 Jackie Lannin June 30, 2013 at 7:04 pm

Mini tissue squares- 5000. You can do some great paper mache, collage and just fun layering with this product. It is enough that you do not have to be counting or scrimping on a material when using.

369 Nancy swenson June 30, 2013 at 7:07 pm

My classroom doesn’t have a sink, I would love a portable sink!

379 Sue Westby June 30, 2013 at 7:38 pm

I teach infants, toddlers, and preschoolers, that have disabilities, and I like the Felt Story Sets (of 8). They are colorful, durable, and easy for me to take to the schools or homes, where I see the children. These stories are age appropriate and allows the children to participate at their different levels of abilities. The pieces can also be used to teach several other concepts beyond the stories.

I like their discount section they have some good items at affordable prices (for us broke teachers ;) ) I found a wooden puzzle project for 12 children at 6.99 perfect for summer camp and some other good materials. Thanks for all your helpful ideas also

405 Debbie Sauntman June 30, 2013 at 9:30 pm

My pick from Discount School Supply would be the Angeles Value Line 5 Section Locker. The kindergarten room next to mine at Victorious Preschool & Kindergarten uses this product and it works better then great for storing the children’s coats; sweaters; small items from home and yes even their daily school supplies. I love that all of these much needed items can be stored and found in one place in a neat and orderly fashion. Oh yes, this is my wish list item for my classroom. It will be a special day if I should be chosen as the winner!

406 Amelia Schaeffer June 30, 2013 at 9:31 pm

409 laura June 30, 2013 at 9:35 pm

I am planning on ordering the easy grip sponge stampers for my 2′s class. They will work for those little guys who really dislike getting hands messy and better than trying the clothes in on a sponge that tend to slip off with my little ones.

410 Adriana ochoa June 30, 2013 at 9:47 pm

I love the liquid watercolrs…

411 Susan June 30, 2013 at 9:48 pm

413 Barbe Porter June 30, 2013 at 9:56 pm

I have worked in preschool for over twenty-two years and have purchased countless items from Discount School Supplies. I was very excited this spring to find a fence-easel available through Discount. I am always looking for ways to expand the variety of play opportunities for children when we go outside. The children love balls, buckets/scoops, and sidewalk chalk but other opportunities to bring the inside out is exciting. I have added the fence-easel to my fall supply order request.

414 Amanda June 30, 2013 at 10:05 pm

I did all my ordering from Discount School Supply this year and am eagerly awaiting the arrival of my boxes! One thing I love from the Discount School Supply website is the Colorations Heavyweight Construction Paper. It’s a great value and we use it all the time in my special needs preschool classroom!

419 Jody June 30, 2013 at 10:52 pm

I love Discount School Supply for their variety, excellent quality, and great prices. I recommend their site to my student’s parents all the time. I was on the Discount School Supply website yesterday and covet the Angeles Sure Stop Folding Commercial Bye Bye Stroller-4 sweater for my new home daycare. I trust their quality and am now saving my pennies to buy the stroller!

420 Keysha M. June 30, 2013 at 10:54 pm

Hello,
After visiting the discount preschool site, the one item that I loved was the ABC Phonics felt set. I love this set because it would be a great literacy tool to use during small group in the literacy learning area in our classroom. I love the colorful felt picture shapes and the felt words to go with it. As an early childhood educator I love this item because the price is discounted and the felt pieces can be easily stored and used over and over again.
Thank you for the opportunity to visit your site and the discount school supplies site.

Ooo…all the Excellerations products look like fun!

422 Stacy Haug June 30, 2013 at 11:06 pm

I LOVE Discount School Supply!! I am a toddler teacher and one of my favorite products from DSS is the Colorations Simply Washable paints. They have very vibrant colors and is one of the only brands that I’ve used that actually DOES wash out of the kids’ clothes without staining – a big plus with the parents :)

423 Wendy Burns June 30, 2013 at 11:15 pm

I would love to order the tabletop puppet theater!

The counting pop-up puppets are also in my viewfinder!

But the top of the line easel that some lucky winner will get, is probably the top pick!!

Good luck friends!!

I think that the felt story sets are an excellent addition to any classroom, It really gives the students another medium though which they can enjoy and even retell the story.

430 Stacy Evans July 1, 2013 at 12:59 am

The preschool I work in has used Discount School supply for many of yr materials and supplies. We love the water colors and tempra paints. I would love the Magna Tiles (solid and clear colors). We were able to borrow a set for a short time from a mother classroom and the students loved them, they were always being used and the kids had a great time experimenting and learning with them.

431 Scott July 1, 2013 at 1:44 am

I love Discount School Supply. They are my “go to” place. I really like all thr art materials. But I LOVE the Colorations Jumbo Washable Stamp Pads. They are truly washable. Little hands get completely clean!

432 Heather Fangon July 1, 2013 at 1:54 am

I love the inspirational/faith based products that are unique to Discount School Supply. As a new teacher just starting out, I’m glad to know about this online store.

433 Charlotte M. July 1, 2013 at 2:21 am

I absolutley love the Excellerations Hand Farm Puppets. I have a set and my 18 mos old enjoys them so much I have purchased several as gifts. I put together a musical basket that includes titled song cards, manipulatives to act out the songs and these puppets for different animal songs. I also include a few musical shakers- eggs, drum etc. Everyone I give them to loves them and their children have loved using them also. For the price they can’t be beat!

434 Jaime Frey July 1, 2013 at 3:33 am

I would love the sand and water activity center – not only do I love the table but the storage that it has too!

435 Blanca Garcia July 1, 2013 at 3:40 am

Something that I use over and over from Discount School Supply is “Giant Person Shapes – 24 Pieces” I just had out one to each child to dress up at home with mom’s help. Sometimes I ask them to dress the dolls as what they want to be when they grow up, or to dress them up with their own newborn clothes. One thing for sure is that I always get amazed to see their creativity and how proud they are to share it with the group and display at the center.
Since I am about to open my very own day care (inspired by your web site) this comes very handy to me. Thank you for the opportunity

436 Christy Taylor July 1, 2013 at 3:52 am

I have seen this easel and have had it ont wish list!!!! Glad to hear that it is as wonderful as it sounds and hope I win :). Another item of theirs I want to get (and will be ordering for next year) is their letter construction set. I cant wait to see little hands building the alphabet. Thanks for sharing this review.

437 Carol Watson July 1, 2013 at 4:12 am

I love so many items from Discount School Supply especially the magna-tiles. My students love these. I have the 100 pc set and leave it out all year as they never tire of building with them. I need to get at least another 100 piece set somehow this year.

438 Kim Johnson July 1, 2013 at 5:15 am

I like the ABC Puppet Pals from Discount School Supply. The puppets are a great way to introduce the alphabet and sounds.

439 Amy July 1, 2013 at 6:09 am

Lovin the rugs for my story corner, especially the hidden alphabet. Thanks for this chance.

440 Sonia Turner July 1, 2013 at 6:58 am

I love your website, it has such good information and ideas. I am director of a small center in Michigan. I pass along the information from your site to all the early childhood professionals I know. I would love to have this easel!

441 Janet Wolf July 1, 2013 at 7:16 am

I would have to say that the bye bye buggies are a favorite of our center. We have two so all of the babies can go for a walk at the same time! We just replaced two of the baby seats, but the others lasted for over twelve years. The buggies are easy to manage and provide an opportunity for fresh air and sensory exploration!
This easel looks like a great item and I love the fact that more than one child can play there at the same time. It seems as though it would a very versatile addition to one of our classrooms!

442 Kristin S. July 1, 2013 at 7:17 am

I love Discount School Supply. I would love to have a big book easel!

443 Barbara S July 1, 2013 at 7:26 am

I have used Discount School Supply for many years now. We do a lot of painting and sensory at my childcare. Discount School Supply Bio Color paints are awesome and I always need to order more. Not only does the paint dry shiny, it doesn’t mix together to make a mud color! And I love when we add it to the Bio putty solution to make bio-putty.

444 Gina Scotti July 1, 2013 at 7:42 am

I visited the Discount School Supply site, as requested. I am also a frequent visitor. I agree that the easel would be a great tool in my classroom and would love to have it! I also love the Letter Construction Set. I had my director order it for me. It has multiple uses. Not only reinforcing the alphabet, but creating shapes and imaginations are endless.

Thanks,
Gina Scotti

I have been using Discount School Supply for over 10 years and I rarely shop for my program anywhere else. This Multi-Use Easel is what I have been looking for! I love the white/magnet board and the flannel board on the back! Awesome!
Our program uses lots of the materials from Discount School Supply. I was able to go to a workshop they held at my center and fell in love with the Bio-Paints and the Liquid Watercolors! Very versatile. Love so many of their products, but use the above the most!

452 Jennifer Griffin July 1, 2013 at 8:56 am

I would love the Light Table from Discount School Supply — so many things my kids could do!

453 mary ulring July 1, 2013 at 9:00 am

I teach at a preschool, which, over the years, has had an influx of children on the autism spectrum enroll. Although this is a regular, “typically developing” preschool, we have had to make changes to support and include our kiddos who are on the spectrum. My director and staff have always practiced sensory integration within the classroom setting, but wanted to do more. So, we built a room, which includes tons of sensory equipment available for all of our children. The next step was to update the rest of the school (replace the fluorescent lighting, etc.), but, unfortunately, my director passed away a year ago. We want to continue to provide the best support we can, and keep her dream alive, but it is costly. We purchase most of our supplies and equipment from Discount School Supply, and, in looking through their catalog, I found light filters to cover the fluorescent lighting! What a great addition to our older classrooms these would be!

454 Elizabeth July 1, 2013 at 9:11 am

The arts and crafts materials are great, but the new “allergen free” list will be a huge help with children with allergies! I love the fact that they’ve done the research and we can just find what we want within those parameters.

455 Tangy Torgerson July 1, 2013 at 9:12 am

My favorite Discount item would have to be liquid water colors. I used them almost daily at work and at home! It’s the best site for all you creative art needs!!

460 Allison Plumer July 1, 2013 at 9:33 am

Safe and appropriate gross motor activities can be difficult to keep fresh and interesting inside, so the Soft Tone Snuggle Corner Set has been a fantastic addition to our classroom that not only allows for climbing and sliding, but also for a cozy place to read!

461 Gail Pethia July 1, 2013 at 9:35 am

It is hard to find good multicultural puzzles with great graphics. I liked the sets I saw their site.

464 Chris July 1, 2013 at 10:13 am

I love the Magic Nuudles. The kids can be very creative when they use these. They are also a good science activity-what happens when you use water with them. They have to find the balance between not enough and too much water. Love these

Discovery cove! That thing looks cool!

469 Kim Nickell July 1, 2013 at 10:49 am

I have a set of Magna-tiles ,clear colors in my classroom. The children really enjoy exploring and building with them. It is fun to watch them explore with patterning and designs using the tiles flat on the table and then move to building, towers, tunnels and other 3D objects. The bright see through colors are fun and encourage lots of creativity!

470 Joanne R July 1, 2013 at 10:54 am

The “Excellerations Find the Mouse Fine Motor Skills Set” looks like so much fun! It might be something I would get 2 of! The easel is awesome! It was hard to pick just one!

477 Tamara July 1, 2013 at 12:35 pm

482 Abby Peterson July 1, 2013 at 1:35 pm

Sooo little storage in my classroom. The easel I am currently using is too high without any storage and has no back to it! Would love this one!!!

483 Trisha July 1, 2013 at 1:47 pm

Love Discount School Supply…..we get the majority of the things we need for our school from them….reasonable prices, great variety and fast shipping. Love the multi uses of this easel. It would be a wonderful fit for any of my classes from the twos to our school age classes. While looking at the DSS site, I think that a purchase for our new school year will have to include the large set of Brilliant Builders and the new Excellerations Building Brilliance Magnetic Shapes sets. They both would be wonderful additions to our manipulative collections and they invite cooperation as well and creative thought. :)

484 Debbie Middleton July 1, 2013 at 2:03 pm

I love the multi purpose board simply because it can be used for many, many purposes in any center. I also like the discount school supply magnet resources. They are large enough for more than one child and keeps their attention and builds curiosity.

485 Janet H. July 1, 2013 at 2:11 pm

My classroom could really use the Real Projects Workshop from Discount School supply! My boys would love building things with the “power” tools! Thank you for the opportunity to win the Multi Use Learning Easel!

487 LeAnn Beland July 1, 2013 at 2:17 pm

Because we are in the midst of setting up a new classroom, I found it difficult to select just 1 item from all Discount School Supply has to offer! I love the Riverstones – they would be great to use both indoors and outdoors!

488 Caroline July 1, 2013 at 2:26 pm

Three-in-One Table Easel or the Instrument Organizer and 25 piece Instrument Set, lots of good things here! I will have to look more.

489 Sharona July 1, 2013 at 3:11 pm

I love the Megna-Tiles on Discount School Supply’s site! I saw them years ago in another classroom and always wondered where they found them. While looking through their site I found them! Now it is time to talk to our director about purchasing some for my preschool classroom.

490 April Simmons July 1, 2013 at 3:39 pm

Well, as a new homeschool mom, there are many things that I could comment on that I like from your store but I must say that my favorite thing right now would have to be the easel! I have been looking for one and this would be a perfect addition to my homeschool room in my house. Thanks. April

491 Laura July 1, 2013 at 4:25 pm

493 Carolyn July 1, 2013 at 4:33 pm

I love that discount supply has an Allergen Free section! That makes it so much easier to find products like their Gluten Free Play dough!

494 Cathy Rehr July 1, 2013 at 4:45 pm

We are a nature preschool which means our curriculum is very science based. I am always looking for new acrylic specimens for children to explore on our light table. I noticed there are a couple of new ones at DSS, “Garden Friends”, and “Peanut Life Cycle”. The other they have is out of stock, “Life cycles”, which should prove how popular they are. These are just one of my favorites at DSS.

495 CSB July 1, 2013 at 4:55 pm

I love their liquid watercolors.

Thanks for the giveaway!

496 Marie B July 1, 2013 at 5:07 pm

Discount School Supply has so many great products; one of my favorites is the refillable window blocks: great for fine and gross motor as well as science exploration!

501 Kathy July 1, 2013 at 9:21 pm

Last year we ordered their Butterfly Garden (Item # BH) as we were reading The Very Hungry Caterpillar. The children were facinated with the entire process and celebrated every stage from caterpillars to chrysalis to butterflies. When we took the butterflies out to release them in our herb garden, one butterfly lit on one of the children who has some significant motor disabilities. The smile on that child’s face when the butterfly “chose” him was priceless!

502 linda platt July 1, 2013 at 9:57 pm

I love the kids craft iPad app. It gives the craft, picture steps and educational goals. It also gives curriculum activities and educational goals. If you share your own activity you could earn a $50 gift certificate!

503 Jackie B. July 1, 2013 at 10:00 pm

It is hard to pick 1 favorite but I narrowed it down to the Brawny Tough Career Vests (set of 8). I know my kids would have a blast with them.

504 Donna July 1, 2013 at 10:02 pm

My favorite classroom manipulative I borrow from another preschool class – magnetic building tiles. Discount School Supply sells them and this year I am putting them on top of my wish list. Kids love using the tiles not only for building, but in math and science too. They’d be a great addition to any classroom just as the easel would be. With limited classroom space the easel is adaptable in so many ways. Fingers crossed; hope I win.

505 Sarah Perry July 1, 2013 at 10:04 pm

I really like the lifestyle dream kitchen. I have an 18 mo old who loves helping me bake. This would give her the opportunity to make her own creations.

Pretty much everything at DSS strikes my fancy. Love this easel. Thanks for the opportunity!

513 laura englehart July 1, 2013 at 10:35 pm

I have used and love the High Scope teaching Small Groups Lesson Planning Book, 24. 95. It is special because it gives a developmental range of what early middle and later learners would look like when partaking in the small group lesson. It includes how to scaffold that child’s learning. I would also consider the plan do review book as it ties into common core’s critical thinking , planning goals.

514 Sarah July 1, 2013 at 10:39 pm

I absolutely love the Script-n-Skills Station. I love how it is an organized work and reading space for kids!!! <3

515 molly July 2, 2013 at 12:28 am

That easel would be soooo helpful! On the discount school site, there are so many great items. For example, the Super Science kit and wooden specimen kit. Great!

516 Nancy Brunner July 2, 2013 at 12:40 am

I love almost everything from their site. I have had my eye on Size and Shape Puzzles and the peg number boards.

519 marina alvarez July 2, 2013 at 3:50 am

I would love the multiple use storage. I love to see children in peer interaction. The easel seems to be big enough for 2 to enjoy. The best part is the easy fold up to put away at nap time. While there at the site I went ahead and requested my catalogs.
Thanks for all your good work !

520 Kathy S July 2, 2013 at 6:35 am

I just purchased all the art supplies I’ll need for the next school year from Discount! I look forward to going through the boxes next week! If I had to choose one item to love it would have to be the easel being given away — I could really put it to good use in my classroom! Thanks!

521 Maria July 2, 2013 at 7:07 am

We love Discount School Supply at my preschool and order all of our art supplies from them as well as many other items from our individual wish lists. It’s very difficult to choose 1 item that I would like to have in my classroom, but since I have avid block builders I’m always looking for new items to add to the center. I love the Wooden Skyscraper blocks. We live close to NYC and many of the children are familiar with the tall buildings/skyscrapers. I think these blocks will definitely inspire the children’s imaginations as they build with them!
I love the easel too!

522 ShendrikaRussell July 2, 2013 at 7:10 am

I love the craft kits. It provides hours of fun for the children and it comes with a variety of stuff to were it does not limit their creativity.

523 DEBORAH July 2, 2013 at 7:12 am

Plain and simple yet provides hours of fun for all ages, even the teachers. I just love the do a dots markers. I just can’t get enough of them so I think it is great that you now make a class pack.

524 Barb Strong July 2, 2013 at 7:26 am

I love the wide variety of art supplies available. Living in a rural community it is great to have a site to go to and shop for quality supplies and to have shipped to my home.

525 Jennifer Frisbie July 2, 2013 at 8:05 am

I love love love the liquid water colors!!! And awhile back I bought some bug tongs from them that were clear balls on the end and my kids at school use them in so many different activities to practice scissor skills and build up the muscles in their hands!

526 Patricia July 2, 2013 at 8:17 am

Our small preschool places our main supply order from Discount School every year. We are always pleased with their selection, customer service and prices. One thing we purchased last year and has worked out well is the refillable bingo dabbers.
Thank you for the give-away. Looking forward to receiving your new book Deborah!

527 shannon July 2, 2013 at 9:57 am

I love discount school supply! As a small child care I find their prices unbeatable as well as the quality of their products. I love the biocolor products the best. The colors never run or muddy together and the product goes a long way. recently in Oregon we have started a quality indicator program and discount school supply jumped on board to promote education by offering even more discounts for product to participating programs. Thanks for supporting our children Discount school supply! You Rock

I really love their soft play selections for babies and toddlers.

532 Anna Kingsmith July 2, 2013 at 3:17 pm

As a teacher in an inclusion classroom, I love all the products that Discount School Supply offers for sensory stimulation and occupational therapy. We already use many of their products in our classroom on a regular basis, but if I had to pick one new item from their site, I would choose the sensory puzzle blocks. I can think of so many ways we would use those in our play!

533 bianca July 2, 2013 at 3:36 pm

I would LOVE to have the Discovery Cove in my classroom!

541 Jackie Higgins July 2, 2013 at 9:45 pm

I love the magnetic letters uppercase and lower case. You have no idea how much trouble I’ve had finding a quality set of upper/lower case letters with a CLEAR font. And they are cheaper on this site than the ones I don’t even like on amazon. I guess that’s why they call it “discount school supply”. ha. I think I’m going to have to buy them… and then stick them on my easel if I win. *fingers crossed*

542 Geri Lynn E. July 2, 2013 at 11:43 pm

I would certainly *LOVE* to have this easel from DSS, and another item I would LoVe to have from their website is the Felt Sets for Two’s and Three’s to use on my new easel! ;)

546 Cheryl Graham July 3, 2013 at 9:30 am

I love Discount School Supply! I usually always go straight to the curriculum support page to check out science related products. I love to order the insta-snow for my class. We are in Florida and the children I teach have had very little or no exposure to the real stuff!!

547 Margie D. July 3, 2013 at 9:48 am

The item that is used the most in my classroom has been and still is the unit blocks. The children build the most creative structures with the Discount school supply unit blocks.

Our preschool utilizes so many of the products available from Discount School Supply and have always been thrilled with our purchases. We are a very small school and function on a very limited budget, but always try to maintain current materials and practices so as to provide the best possible education for our students. The affordable prices and durable products from Discount School Supply help our money go a longer way. In fact, we recently purchased the Alphabet Train Rug and are thrilled with the quality of the material and the manufacturing.

As we set up for a new year, it would be wonderful to add this Multi-Use Learning Easel to our classroom!

554 Kathleen July 3, 2013 at 4:48 pm

561 Miranda McDonough July 4, 2013 at 10:21 am

My favorite product from DSS are the Magna-Tiles. It was the one item in my classroom that got used daily and in the most unusual creative ways. I’ve seen many “parking garages”, “space ships”, “hotels”, and even “fashion show runways”…well worth the investment, and they are so durable!

562 Judy Meine July 4, 2013 at 10:43 pm

Excellerations™ Super Sensory Beanbags are a really cool new product. I saw them a couple of weeks ago at a conference and can’t wait to order a set for my kids.

Discount School supply has been around as long as I’ve been teaching preschoolers! I like and have often used their Bio Color paints and Do a Dots over the years. I love the fact that they offer a variety of multicultural items too, like their world friends dolls. Really could use this multi purpose easel right now, crossing my fingers!

569 Siew Lee July 5, 2013 at 9:57 pm

Hi Deborah,
I came across your website and love it instantly – I love your encouraging and nurturing teaching approach that is inclusive of all children.

I checked out the Discount School Supply website and found the Magna-Tiles set as an interesting and stimulating activity for preschoolers. My older son appears to enjoy building and I think he would enjoy building structures using these bright and colorful shaped tiles. Thanks for sharing the website :-) – Siew
