While the children are away, we like to play…

This week, our students are on spring break and normally, I would continue to share a daily post with you because regardless if the children are in school or not, Mrs. Courtney and I have so many photos of activities to share that it would take us months to get all caught up. However, I have made an executive decision to take the week off!

Spring Break for Teach Preschool

Mrs. Courtney has already prepared at least three new super fun posts to share with you but everything is going to go on hold until we return on Sunday, April 7th, 2013.  I know that seems like such a long time but this will give you a chance to look through my blog and see if there is anything you have missed and it will give Mrs. Courtney and I a much needed time to rest and spend time with our families…

Spring Break for Teach Preschool

My grandson and I have already been sneaking over to the classroom for a little bit of toddler play which I will also be telling you more about. There is always so many things to share but not enough days in the week or hours in the day to get it all in…

Spring Break for Teach Preschool

So while the children are away on spring break, my grandsons and I will play both inside and outside this next week…

Spring Break for Teach Preschool

Well, it won’t be all play for me. You see, I have to remember to water our plants in the classroom all week and then I need to do some classroom setup and rearranging, some serious organizing of my teaching supplies, a little lesson planning, and I hope to squeeze in a few DIY projects that I have been really wanting to do…

Spring Break for Teach Preschool

And just as a side note, I also have to complete the final edits of a new book I am writing which should be out by August. I will share more on this as soon as my publisher gives me the thumbs up that the book is really a book…

Spring Break for Teach Preschool

This will be my first real break since I started blogging back in 2009 so I think it is time to step away for a few days. While we are away, I hope you will share my blog with others and invite them to come and join us when we return on April 7th.  We have some wonderful ideas and classroom observations ahead to share with you!

Thank you for all you do for young children and for all the support you give to me here on Teach Preschool! I can’t express how deeply touched I am by the comments and emails you all leave. You inspire me!

Every time I think I know everything I need to know about teaching young children, God says, "Hold on a minute!" and gives me a new challenge.

Let me tell ya...

With each new challenge that you overcome, you will find yourself better equipped and more passionate about teaching young children.

God didn't call wimps to lead, teach, or care for His children. Nope, he has high expectations, so get ready. You will have to give your very best but after teaching for over 30 years, I can tell you that it is a wonderful and rewarding journey.

Whenever your calling feels hard, just remember, 'He who began a good work in you (and in the children you serve) will be faithful to complete it.'
