Bubble wrap printing is an old idea that just never gets old no matter how many times you try it…

Before diving into our bubble wrap painting, we spent a few minutes exploring the letter Bb in circletime. While exploring the upper case and lower case letter Bb, we made the sound “Bbbbbbbbbbb”…

And then I passed out a small square of bubble wrap to each child and we all sat and popped our bubbles right there on the floor…

During our centers, one table was all set up with liquid tempera paint, paint brushes, and bubble wrap for the children to explore the bubble wrap printing process…

There are lots of ways to explore bubble wrap painting or printing but for today, the children started by painting a sheet of bubble wrap with the colors of paint in any way they liked…

Once the children had painted the bubble wrap, they placed a sheet of white paper on top of the bubble wrap and rubbed the back of the paper all over with their hands…

Then it was time to lift the paper up and see the bubble print!…

The children were quite surprised at the beautiful prints that were made on their paper. The paint looked completely different on the paper then it did on the bubble wrap…

This was a process that the children could continue by adding more paint to the bubble wrap then pressing their paper down again to add more prints…

Bbbbbb beautiful!
