Are you all set for father’s day?

My great niece, Clara, made a lovely gift for her daddy, and her mommy emailed over a few pictures of the gift for me to see…

In the subject line of the email it said “Shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh” meaning don’t tell Clara’s daddy….

Clara put together a photo collage of different events she and her daddy did together.  I happen to know that Clara and her daddy go to LOTS of fun places and Clara’s mommy is great about taking photos of the two of them together…

Don’t worry about a thing Clara. Your secret is safe with me!

And for those of you who might be worried, Clara’s mommy said I could tell my friends about Clara’s special father’s day gift…

Oh, and the beautiful artwork used as the backdrop behind the photo collage is a painting Clara made for her daddy but I want to share the painting process with you in another post because it is too cute!

Every time I think I know everything I need to know about teaching young children, God says, "Hold on a minute!" and gives me a new challenge.

Let me tell ya...

With each new challenge that you overcome, you will find yourself better equipped and more passionate about teaching young children.

God didn't call wimps to lead, teach, or care for His children. Nope, he has high expectations, so get ready. You will have to give your very best but after teaching for over 30 years, I can tell you that it is a wonderful and rewarding journey.

Whenever your calling feels hard, just remember, 'He who began a good work in you (and in the children you serve) will be faithful to complete it.'
