While I am on my little blog break, I decided it would be a good time to go ahead and share this little give-away I have for you.

National School Supply sent me this wonderful set of colorful sand blocks. They didn’t send them to me to review – they sent them to me so I could have them for my classroom and in return I offered to host this give-away for you….

I am excited to add these blocks to my classroom. Today, I let Wy check them out…

As Wy played with the blocks he kept saying “I am building a castle!”

So here is how this give-away works. It is a little different so be sure to read carefully what you need to do…
- Go to the National School Supply Clearance Specials and select something you like from this section only of their website.
- Come back here and leave a comment telling me what item you would like to win from the clearance specials and the item you select will be what you will win should your name be drawn as the winner of this give-away.
- Be sure to look through each link under the Clearance Specials page as there are great things under every link.
- Make absolutely sure that you include a current email address with your comment so you can be notified if you win.

- The last day to enter for this give-away is Thursday August 18, 2011 at 11:00pm EST.
- One winner will be chosen by random generator on Friday August 19, 2011.
- The winner will be notified by email and announced here on the blog on Saturday August 20, 2011.
- This give-away is only open to folks living in the U.S.A. (I apologize to those who are not from the U.S.).
- Only one entry per person is accepted.
- Should an email be sent out and the winner does not respond within 5 days, then an alternative winner will be selected.
- The winner’s email address will be shared with National School Supply so they can contact the winner to make shipping arrangements.
Good Luck and Thank You for Your Participation!
Update: I’m sorry – but entries for this give-away are now closed.

I am excited about this! I would love to win the book, “The Inclusive Learning Center Book”. Being in early childhood special education, this would be a great add to my collection.
I’ve just moved down to pre-k from 1st grade and am lacking several things for my classroom due to budget constraints. I would LOVE any one of the play food sets under the Early Childhood section – but really liked the four basic food groups set. This would be a great starter set for my dramatic play area. Btw, those blocks are awesome! I was looking at those pretty closely too – I’m sure the kids will love them!
@EllenM … I have the basic food groups set. They are a little smaller than I realized when I purchased them but they are great! Each food group is in its own little wooden box so its makes it became a sorting activity as well. They are good quality, too!
It’s a toss-up between the filled blocks and the jumbo-sized wooden puzzles. I think the blocks are it though. I love wooden toys and have been searching for some great blocks for ages. What a fun giveaway!
I think the “Sand Filled Rainbow Blocks” would be an excellent addition to my program. After providing 22 years of childcare, I think my little kiddos would really enjoy building with something as cool as those! Thanks so much, Joanie
=o)
Love the filled blocks! My little ones love blocks & right now we only have a set of foam ones. They would have a blast with the filled ones.
Wooden Vehicles and Traffic Signs 790009 $10.99
I’d like to have these for my block area. I left all of my blocks and vehicles at my last school when I moved as they had nothing and I figured they could use them more than me at the time. I love this site – thanks for another choice for classroom materials!
I would love to win the wooden vehicles, all of the mulit-ethnic families, or the filled blocks. We are in need of these items in our classroom.
Margie
The wooden vehicles and signs would be great…we are in need of them in our block area.
Margie
I’d so love the Hungry Hungry Hippos
http://www.nationalschoolsupply.com/group/HUNGRY-HUNGRY-HIPPOS.htm
because it so reminds me of my own childhood. Remember how games with the element of repetition, cause and effect, animals eating marbles (?), could be so intriguing! I also think the commercial made it look really fun and that has stuck with me. Marketing–grrr!!!
I would love to win the Sand or Crystal Bead filled Rainbow Blocks. I think the children would love these and find them interesting and fun to play and build with. Thank you for the chance to win!
I would like to win the “Teaching Cash Register”.
I would like to win the Shimmering Water filled Rainbow Blocks for my classroom. Thank you for the give-away!
I love the water-filled rainbow blocks!! beautiful!
We play with our plain wooden blocks everyday, these would really add to the fun.
I love the blocks too! I think I would choose some of the finger puppet, probably the one for “The Billy Goats Gruff” because I already have some fun stuff for that book.
Great options to choose from. My classroom would benefit mostly from the Multi-Ethnic School Dolls. Hope we win. Thanks for hosting the give away.
Oh the easy grip pegs and playpad have been on my wish list for a while now!
I would love the filled blocks! I am in the process of expanding the block area and activities in my classroom, and would love a set of these to encourage more imaginative play.
WOW, so many options! I would love to win the filled blocks for my 2 and 3 year olds. I know they’d love them! http://www.nationalschoolsupply.com/group/FILLED-BLOCKS.htm
Thank you, Deborah!
I would LOVE to have the foam magnetic lowercase letters for my class!
Thanks for the giveaway! We’d love the Quick Life Science Lab Kit K-2 for our homeschool!
Proverbialhomemaker at gmail dot com
I would really like to have the “Teaching Cash Register” for my Best Friends classroom!
I think the filled blocks you have pictured would be awesome for my 2yo, we don’t have many blocks as we got rid of them before we moved b/c we had to down size and he loves to build, these would be great! Thanks
jqaltman(at)yahoo(dot)com
I would love the crystal filled wooden blocks. There are many other things that I like too.
I like the multi-ethnic school dolls. Our center is trying to get NAEYC accredited and I think these dolls would be a great asset to our classrooms.
I too would love to have a set of the filled blocks. It would be a wonderful addition to my science center!
This sounds fun! I would pick the Sandwich-Making Box
I’d love the sand-filled rainbow blocks. Thanks for this great give-away and your great web-site! Mary
Would love to win the ‘Folding Horse Stable’!
Great idea!!!
I teach pre-k in a inner city urban environment. The fill blocks would make a great addition to my block area. I love open ended materials to encourage my students to use their imagination.
What a great giveaway! I would choose the Teaching Cash Register. It would be a fun new addition to my classroom. Thanks so much!
I would love to win the sand-filled blocks. So cool and would be a different addition to the block center.
I was glad to see that the sand filled blocks were in the clearance section. I would like to have those for my classroom.
I would LOVE to win the colorful sand filled blocks. I have had the set on my daycare wish list for some time and seeing them on your post caught my eye. Thanks for the the chance to win them!
I would love to have the rainbow sand-filled blocks! They would be a great addition to my block center and I really want to play with them, too!
The Rainbow Sand-Filled blocks would be a fantastic addition to the block center in my 3-year-old classroom!
What a great site to find! I would LOVE the Primary Math Resource Kit. I have been looking for the perfect math manipulatives, and this is just what I need!
I’d love to have the sand filled blocks. They would be a great addition to our block center.
I would love the filled blocks for my own home. But it would be nice to get some craft supplies to give to one of the girls’ classroom.
I would love to have the foam lower case letters. I want to do a “Chicka Chicka Boom Boom” activity with my class this fall, and it would be perfect if I had lower case letters to use!
I would love the AlphaScope Microscope . I am a high school science teacher now teaching preschool
What a fabulous give-away. We just finished our NAEYC and VSQI (new rating system in VA) and my classroom was lacking in multi-generational and multi-cultural items so I could definitely use Pretend & Play Asian Family ( 8 pc. Set) 791003. Thanks for getting us to look over this catalog. I’ll definitely share it with our purchaser!
Wow! Thanks for showing us this great website! I found LOTS of cool things for my classroom. If I win the contest, I would like the sand filled rainbow blocks – they are fabulous! I can see my kiddos using this for hours of imaginative play. Thanks for sharing the site!
I hesitate to even choose the Crayon Carpet because it is the most expensive item on the list! But it would be a huge blessing to our little church-run preschool to have a new Circle Time rug.
I would love to get the crystal bead filled blocks. I actually requested they be purchased for my classroom, but unfortunately, I didn’t get them. I would love to win them.
I would love to have the sand filled blocks http://www.nationalschoolsupply.com/group/FILLED-BLOCKS.htm. I teach preschool and they would be a super addition to my classroom
Thank you so much.
Craftkids Scissors – 6 Pack of Assorted Scissors. I have 2 boys 12y and almost 5y they are always doing crafty things and these six scissors would be a great addition to our craft center.
Thank you for this great giveaway.
I would love the musical insturtments. I am starting a new classroom and they don’t have any music insturtments so these would be great. thank you
I would absolutely love those filled blocks for my 2-3 room, but I guess I’m not alone there. Does living outside the US discount me though?
I would really love the Learning Centers Bulletin Board Set. We have those blocks in our classroom and love them!
The floors in our PreK rooms were just replaced with nice, bright, clean tile. They are beautiful but we are in need of some soft floor areas. The Crayons Carpet under the Classroom Decorations tab would be absolutely awesome!
What a great website! I think I could spend a small fortune on all that stuff. I guess if I had to choose, I would choose the wooden cars with street signs. But I could also go for the huge vats of finger paint, since they seem to get used way too quickly, or the awesome letter wooden puzzles, or… or… Too much great stuff to choose from!
The wooden vehicles and traffic signs would make a great addition to our block area. Thank you.
wow. so many choices. it was difficult to choose, but i am partial to the sand / crystal filled blocks. they would be an intriguing addition to our block center. thanks for this fun giveaway and all you do.
Lots of great choices – but when I saw the Primary Rocker Balance Scale I knew that was the one I would choose. We’ve been wanting this type of scale for a while – just haven’t gotten one yet.
(Although those filled blocks are pretty cool and I’m a sucker for blocks….)
I love the sand filled blocks! What a great toy to add to our block center!
Those sand-filled blocks are adorable! What a great giveaway!
Thanks for the chance at this fun giveaway! I would love the colorful sand filled blocks for my preschool block center. The kids would love them!
I would love the Crystal Bead filled Rainbow Blocks #712001! They look cool, make cool noise, and are fun to build with! Thanks!
I would love to win the scales for my science table as well – that’s the first thing that popped into my head – I was hoping they would be on the list!
I have worked in preschool for years, but just started providing inclusive ecse services and would like to offer a bigger variety of puzzles for my students. I am interested in the transportation sound puzzles and the magnetic puzzles. I am impressed by the variety of items (and the affordable prices) in the clearance section. Thanks for directing us there. I have not shopped from this source before.
We are going to be doing animal habitats in just a couple of months! The Quick Life science lab kit would be awesome for that (plus several other activities through the year!). Thanks for the opportunity!
I would be really really happy if I am chosen to receive a set of the Filled Blocks. The children in our preschool classroom are very creative blocks builders. We are always looking for different blocks to build. Thanks for hosting this give-away.
Those blocks are beautiful. I had a set of fill your own blocks like that, but unfortunately they were not as sturdy as they claimed. As soon as the kids knocked down their tower, some broke. Let me know how the prefilled ones last. I would love the Early Learning Tiles classroom set
I have been wanting a scale for science activities at my daycare, so if I were lucky enough to win I would want the
Primary Rocker Balance
http://www.nationalschoolsupply.com/group/PRIMARY-ROCKER-BALANCE.htm
Thanks for offering the giveaway!
Nikki
I would love to win the sand filled rainbow blocks for my inclusive preschool classroom. The building that my classroom is housed in does not allow sand to be used in the discovery table, so these blocks would be great for my classroom and the children would love them!
I would love to supplement my “farm week” with the folding horse stable. Kids are so imaginative and really seem to love this kind of play!
There were so many fun things to chose from! But I finally settled on The GeoSafari World Cloth Map. I couldn’t tell if that was part of clearance or not, so if it isn’t, my second pick is the sand-filled blocks.
Wow! This is a great website. If I win I’d love the folding horse stable. Lots of great play could happen with this stable!!
It was fun to look through the many choices of pre-school classroom supplies and put together a wish list! I really like the Multi-Ethnic School Dolls. We have children in our school from many different cultures and I know the dolls would make them feel special!
It’s a hard choice, but I’d like to win the water filled rainbow blocks. Thanks for the opportunity.
I would love to have the Early Learning Tiles Classroom Set to add some new activities to my morning work boxes. It was hard to choose from all the items listed! Thanks for the chance!
I’d love to win the Cooking Set:
