We made turkey wreaths in kindergarten

The kindergarten class made these fun turkey wreaths the other day and I got to pitch in for a bit and help out!

They started out with a simple paper plate…

Then they traced their own foot on brown construction paper…

And cut them out…

Next they traced and cut out a waddle, a beak, and turkey toes…

Then glued it all to their paper plate…

Then it was time to add the colorful feather loops. The kindergarten teacher taught the children a “10 second” gluing rule. The children learned to put the glue on their loops then stick the two ends together and count to 10 before letting go so the glue would firmly hold the pieces together. I heard some major counting going on – and often times the children would count way past the number 10 :)

After counting, the children added their paper loops to their paper plate…

And finished with a bright and colorful turkey wreath of their very own!

Thank you to A Mommy’s Adventures for sharing her post on making these cute turkey wreaths!
