Update on my presentation at NAEYC in California

Today, I had the opportunity to share my music with a wonderful group of early childhood educators at the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) annual conference in California. If you attended my conference today and this is your first time visiting my blog, I want to welcome you and let you know that the lyrics and music from my current CD is available for viewing and downloading but the words and music to my two new CD’s will not be available for at least another month.

I have loved my visit to California and sorry to have to leave so quickly but I head back to Indiana tomorrow!

A special thank you to Debbie Clement for coming to my presentation and singing with me and a special thanks to Karen Nemeth for also coming to my presentation and dancing along with me all around the room:)  Both of you are so fun and great support!

I will post some photos that I took and share a little bit about some of the concepts I learned in the near future!  Looking forward to next year NAEYC conference in Florida!!

Every time I think I know everything I need to know about teaching young children, God says, "Hold on a minute!" and gives me a new challenge.

Let me tell ya...

With each new challenge that you overcome, you will find yourself better equipped and more passionate about teaching young children.

God didn't call wimps to lead, teach, or care for His children. Nope, he has high expectations, so get ready. You will have to give your very best but after teaching for over 30 years, I can tell you that it is a wonderful and rewarding journey.

Whenever your calling feels hard, just remember, 'He who began a good work in you (and in the children you serve) will be faithful to complete it.'
